The Saugerties Central School District proudly announces Emma French as the valedictorian, Sophie Vos as the salutatorian, and Christopher Stokes as the recipient of the prestigious Principal’s Award for the Class of 2026.

“We are incredibly proud of Emma, Sophie, and Christopher for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to the Saugerties High School community,” said Principal Shannon Molyneaux. “Each of these students has made meaningful contributions to our school and will undoubtedly go on to do great things.”

Students performing in the GDM play Seussical KIDS

Our Grant D. Morse Elementary School students recently took to the stage to present Seussical KIDS, a high-energy musical inspired by the timeless works of Dr. Seuss. This imaginative production brought together beloved stories like Horton Hears a Who, The Cat in the Hat, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Yertle the Turtle, and more—creating a colorful and heartwarming adventure for all to enjoy.

Saugerties students and families recently had the opportunity to hear from Robert Hackenson Jr. of Dynamic Influence about the dangers of vaping and the pressures young people often face. Robert first met with parents on Monday, March 9, and then spoke with students on March 10, sharing insights on the psychology behind vaping trends and how perception and peer pressure can influence decisions.
