These dedicated part-time team members play a big role in keeping our cafeterias clean, safe, and organized. At Grant D. Morse, the lunch crew often splits time between the cafeteria and the playground—helping students stay safe while also checking in on how they’re doing.
Pre-K is open to children who will be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2025, and is available at no cost to District residents. The program is located at the Mt. Marion Learning Center, 744 Glasco Turnpike, Saugerties, and runs Monday through Friday from 8 AM. to 1 PM. Optional aftercare is available from 1 PM to 6 PM at a daily rate.
On May 20, Saugerties held its fourth Superintendent’s Conference Day of the year at the High School campus. The day focused on how staff can empower students to help create the ultimate Sawyer experience.
Students in Matthew Hogan’s music class at Grant D. Morse Elementary School are learning about cueing—knowing when to start and stop playing based on a conductor’s gestures.
Student government representatives from all three elementary schools recently traveled to Albany for a special visit to the State Capitol — and thanks to some great timing, the day turned out to be even more exciting than planned!
The Saugerties Central School District thanks our voters for their continued support. On Tuesday, May 20, Saugerties residents approved a $79.9 million budget for the 2025–2026 school year by a vote of 1229 to 465. We appreciate all the registered voters in our community who took the time to cast their ballots.
